Global emissions hit a record high, but GDP continues to decouple from CO2 intensity -data

Global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions hit a record high in 2024, rising by 1.3% compared to the previous year, however all major emitters reduced the carbon intensity of their economic growth, according to data released on Monday from the EU's emission research centre.
