EU considering only allowing countries with an ETS to use real emissions data for CBAM reporting

Brussels is considering a change to how emissions are reported by installations outside the EU that are subject to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which could lead to a greater uptake of emission trading systems across the globe, an industry consultancy claiming knowledge of the matter told Carbon Pulse.
