European carbon ended the day up 1.4% after a lively afternoon saw prices break above €77.75 for the first time in nearly two weeks - pushing towards the highs seen in the third week of September - as UKAs saw their biggest daily gain since mid-July, climbing by 3.5% on Thursday.
