Global CCS deployment surges in 2025 despite policy challenges -report

Global deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology accelerated in 2025, with the number of operating facilities rising 54% year-on-year (YoY) and capture capacity in operation up 25%, even as policy challenges remain, according to a report released Thursday.
