Eight EU countries face legal action for failing to transpose renewables law

The European Commission on Thursday launched legal action against Cyprus, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Poland, and Portugal for failing to fully transpose the revised Renewable Energy Directive into national law, warning that continued delays risk undermining the EU’s clean energy and climate goals.
