Brazil ethanol BECCS could capture 290 MtCO2 over 30 years, preprint finds

Brazil’s ethanol sector could support large-scale deployment of bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), capturing around 290 million tonnes of CO2 over a 30-year project lifetime, according to a new non-peer-reviewed preprint assessment of onshore transport and storage options.
