EU Commission confirms EU ETS will be extended beyond 2039

The head of the European Commission's carbon markets unit confirmed on Tuesday that Brussels will extend the trajectory of the EU's Emissions Trading System, and that including international carbon credits in the climate policy framework will give industry more time to decarbonise.
