Euro Markets: Carbon rises amid wave of buying as investor data shows funds continue to reduce length

European carbon prices posted a 1% gain on Wednesday after a surge of buying interest in the afternoon dragged carbon higher in line with a surge in fuel and electricity prices, as the weekly positions data from exchanges showed funds reduced length again while physical EUAs were delivered to compliance entities last week ahead of the annual deadline for surrendering permits.
