Netherlands unveils fossil fuel phaseout roadmap, scales back near-term goals

The Netherlands has placed the EU's carbon pricing policies and fossil fuel reduction goals at the centre of an updated National Energy System Plan (NPE), while scaling back several near-term ambitions as grid congestion, high costs, and difficult market conditions slow the shift away from fossil fuels.
