UK govt argues North Sea oil and gas increase is key to net zero transition

The UK government’s controversial proposal to expand offshore oil and gas developments is necessary to transition the country to net zero emissions, lessen reliance on imports, and scale up its clean technologies industry, Energy Security and Net Zero Minister Graham Stuart said on Monday.
