Colorado awards $14 mln in grants to plug 142 methane-spewing orphan wells

Colorado regulators this week awarded $14 million in grants to 30 oil and gas operators to permanently plug 142 low-producing wells, using federal funds and industry fees to cut methane emissions and prevent future orphan wells.
