Euro Markets: EUAs hold on to afternoon gains as trading volume continues to lag

European carbon prices shook off a weak start to climb to their highest intraday level in 11 days as a second day of afternoon buying cancelled out a lacklustre morning, while traded volume continued to disappoint and energy prices were weaker.
