EU warned against liability risks, extraterritoriality of climate reporting rules

The proposed simplification of EU corporate sustainability reporting rules risks missing the point if it doesn’t clarify key concepts around liability, and the extraterritoriality of EU legislation – such as the obligation to produce climate transition plans, a think tank has said.
