Switzerland eyeing its own ETS2 to target transport, heating emissions

The Swiss Federal Council is planning to introduce a new emissions trading system covering the building heating and transport sectors from 2031, mirroring a similar EU-wide plan, as part of Switzerland’s strategy to cut emissions by at least 75% by 2040.
