EU carbon removal standards remain weaker than Article 6, say researchers

The European Commission's proposed methodologies for carbon removals continues to set a lower standard than the equivalent UN standards, researchers have reiterated in a new paper published Thursday, leaving the door open to projects over-crediting their mitigation.
