Conservation efforts have slowed extinction rates, study shows

Conservation investments are effective and have contributed to a decline in extinction rates from a peak 100 years ago, a new study by University of Arizona (UA)’s Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology has found, challenging "doomsday" narratives of an accelerating biodiversity crisis.
