COP30: Japan urged to stop supporting ‘false solutions’ under AZEC

A coalition of Asian and Global South groups on Friday called on Japan to withdraw its promotion of co-firing and carbon storage projects under the Tokyo-led Asia Zero Emissions Community (AZEC), which could lock countries into dependence on fossil fuels.
