COP30: INTERVIEW – New GCF-backed country platforms a “springboard” for next-gen climate finance

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) on Saturday announced plans for 14 new 'country platforms', adding to pre-existing initiatives with Brazil and the Caribbean, and embodying a nationally-led, programmatic approach to climate finance, according to an expert at a UK-based think tank.
