Assisted tree migration gains merit as climate risks rise -webinar

Assisted migration of tree species for reforestation and restoration is becoming increasingly important amid Canada’s forest-adaptation challenges, a panel of experts said on Tuesday, as the risks of proactively moving seed sources are far smaller than the risks of leaving climate-stressed stands to fail amid wildfire, pests, and rapid warming.
