New Mexico Senate sinks effort to write economy-wide emissions caps into law

New Mexico’s Senate has voted down legislation that would have written statewide GHG limits into law, with a group of Democrats joining Republicans to defeat the proposal requiring the state to reach net zero emissions by 2050.
