CCS still key for hard-to-abate sectors despite waning power sector role, NGOs say

Carbon capture and storage (CCS) has lost much of its relevance for the power sector but remains critical for hard-to-abate industries such as lime and cement, which have few other options to decarbonise, according to the updated "CCS Ladder" published on Tuesday.
