Global heating made Europe’s summer wildfires up to 20 times more likely, scientists say

Human-induced climate change made the extreme weather that fuelled this month's devastating wildfires at least twice as likely in France and at least 20 times more likely in Spain, according to a rapid scientific analysis published on Friday.
