Euro Markets: EUAs make early surge to two-week high before retreating to post 1% weekly rise

EU carbon allowances posted a 1% weekly increase after jumping to a two-week high amid a sustained spell of aggressive buying through the middle of the session, before retreating later in the session as reports began to circulate that EU member states have begun to hand out free allowances for 2026.
