Lower electricity prices by taking out grid costs, argues German lawmaker

Germany should consider moving away from grid fees towards public financing of electricity networks to help bring down power prices, and promote electrification and renewables, according to an energy and environment expert from the Bundestag, speaking at an event in Berlin on Wednesday.
