World can electrify energy demand to hit 35% target by 2035, finds IEA

The adoption of a global electrification target of 35% in ten years’ time is within striking distance after the Strait of Hormuz crisis accelerated a switch away from fossil fuels, but the shift falls short of hitting net zero emissions by 2050, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has found.
