Lawmaker from major EU party proposes to raise LRF, delete Article 6 fallback mechanism

Socialists and Democrats (S&D) MEP Bruno Tobback has proposed increasing the annual Linear Reduction Factor (LRF) for the EU ETS and deleting a fallback mechanism linked to the use of international carbon credits, as part of proposed amendments to a European Parliament committee opinion.
